Description

Lynnwood, WA | BMW | Luxury European brand | Parts manager | Parts department | Inventory management | Wholesale | Fill rate | Obsolescence | 3+ years parts management required | Pacific Northwest | Snohomish County | Seattle metro | Veterans encouraged to apply | $120,000 - $140,000/yr

IS THIS YOU?

• You've managed a dealership parts department and you know what a well-run operation looks like -- fill rate is high, obsolescence is controlled, the counter team is trained and accountable, and the service department gets what it needs without chasing it

• You understand that a parts department's performance shows up directly in service throughput and fixed ops absorption -- and you manage yours accordingly, with the metrics to prove it

• You're ready to bring that discipline to a high-volume BMW store in the Seattle metro where the platform is technically demanding, the inventory depth matters, and a well-run parts department is one of the most visible contributors to the store's fixed ops performance

WHO WE ARE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

BMW of Lynnwood serves a loyal, brand-passionate ownership community in Snohomish County -- one of the Seattle metro's most active luxury automotive markets. BMW's technically sophisticated platform demands a parts department that runs with precision: right parts, right inventory levels, right cycle time. The Parts Manager here owns that operation -- the team, the inventory, the wholesale book, and the service department relationship that determines whether fixed ops runs smoothly or fights for parts on every repair order.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and develop the parts team -- counter advisors, drivers, and receiving personnel -- setting clear performance standards and holding the department to them

• Manage parts inventory to BMW standards -- maintaining appropriate stocking levels, minimizing obsolescence, maximizing fill rate, and controlling cost-per-unit across the full parts catalog

• Oversee wholesale parts operations -- developing and maintaining wholesale account relationships, pricing strategy, and order fulfillment to grow the wholesale book profitably

• Partner with service management and technicians to ensure parts availability supports service throughput -- proactive communication on backorders, ETA updates, and substitution options before they become repair delays

• Monitor and act on key parts department metrics -- fill rate, obsolescence percentage, inventory turn, gross profit, and wholesale growth -- reporting results to fixed ops and store leadership

• Manage BMW manufacturer parts programs, warranty parts handling, and OEM compliance requirements

• Oversee receiving, binning, and inventory accuracy -- ensuring the physical parts department matches the DMS at all times

• Source and manage vendor relationships for parts not available through OEM channels

• Maintain parts department compliance with all BMW manufacturer standards and dealership policies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of dealership parts management experience -- required

• BMW or European brand parts management experience strongly preferred -- familiarity with BMW's OEM parts catalog, Dealer Net, and manufacturer parts programs is a meaningful operational advantage

• Demonstrated parts department performance -- fill rate, obsolescence control, and gross profit results that reflect disciplined inventory management

• Strong wholesale development experience -- the ability to build, retain, and grow a wholesale account base profitably

• A service department partner, not a gatekeeper -- you understand that your department's job is to keep the service team moving and you build the systems that make that happen

• Prior DMS experience required -- Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or equivalent; BMW Dealer Net familiarity a strong plus

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

WHAT WE OFFER

• $120,000 - $140,000/yr

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

• Paid time off and paid holidays

• Career growth -- strong Parts Managers at Swickard grow into fixed ops director and multi-store parts leadership roles

• Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

WHY BMW OF LYNNWOOD

• A high-volume Snohomish County BMW store with a loyal, brand-engaged ownership community -- consistent service traffic and a technically demanding platform mean the parts department is always a critical function, not an afterthought

• BMW's sophisticated parts catalog and active wholesale market in the Seattle metro create real opportunity for a Parts Manager who runs a tight inventory operation and builds the wholesale book aggressively

• A fixed ops leadership team that understands what a well-run parts department contributes to absorption -- your performance is visible, your results are valued, and your partnership with service directly shapes the store's fixed ops outcome

• Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

• Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- apply to how we support our internal teams just as directly as our guests

If you're a disciplined parts manager with European brand experience, a track record of clean inventory metrics, and the wholesale instincts to grow a BMW parts book in one of the Pacific Northwest's most active luxury markets -- apply.
