Industrial Electrician - Automation & Controls Support  is responsible for providing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning support for manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role will support day-to-day production operations by responding to electrical issues, executing preventive maintenance activities, supporting capital projects, and assisting with equipment startups and qualifications. The position will work closely with the Automation & Controls team to develop a strong understanding of site equipment and control systems before transitioning into the Maintenance organization as the site's dedicated electrical resource.

This position reports to the Global Sr. Manager, Controls & Automation and is part of the Advanced Engineering Team located in Hauppauge, NY and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

- Provide Tier 1 electrical support for manufacturing and facility equipment, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of electrical failures to minimize downtime and restore production safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance on production equipment, power distribution systems, motors, motor controls, VFDs, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Support the installation, modification, startup, commissioning, and qualification of manufacturing equipment and capital projects while ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality requirements.
- Partner with the Automation & Controls team to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, support controls-related improvements, and develop technical knowledge of site automation and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation while maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and equipment performance.

Who you are:

- High School Diploma or GED required; Electrical Trade School certification or Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience performing electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with motors, motor controls, VFDs, electrical panels, and industrial power distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, control panel layouts, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with a commitment to safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and customer-focused support.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- Troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and supporting automation systems, preferably Allen-Bradley platforms.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMIs, sensors, industrial networking, and control panel wiring.
- Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated production environments.
- Equipment installation, startup, commissioning, qualification, and capital project execution.
- CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, and electrical safety standards including OSHA and NFPA 70E.

The annual salary range for this role is $79,000-$90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
