What You will Do:
- Support the Quality Manufacturing team by developing and updating process specifications and procedures for equipment calibration throughout the manufacturing facility
- Review existing procedures, compare them to actual implementations, revise procedures as required to meet industry standards.
- Communicate issues and resolutions to Quality Manager
- Advise manufacturing leadership on gauge calibration issues
- Update manufacturing process documentation per change‑management practices
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, OR
- Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years manufacturing and/or engineering experience
- 1-5 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality engineering, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of metrology principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and measurement uncertainty analysis.
- Strong technical writing skills to develop and revise Gage Calibration Methods and Operations Instructions
- Familiarity with ISO, ANSI quality and calibration standards.
- Experience with asset management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a shop‑floor environment
- Hardware/Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite
Pay Range: $24.00-$33.65/hr
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Erie, PA
• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
