Job Description

This Operations Manager will lead the Transfers and Bond of Indemnity team within Global Corporate Trust Paying & Transfer Agent Operations. The team processes physical and electronic transfers of securities ownership and supports requests involving lost securities, including bond of indemnity documentation and replacement or payment processing.

The Operations Manager coordinates daily work, manages approximately eight specialists and team leads across St. Paul, Minnesota, and Cincinnati, Ohio, and ensures processing is completed accurately and on time. The role works with internal business partners, Legal, Risk, Compliance, product teams, clients, bondholders, and external parties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, coach, and develop specialists and team leads while managing day-to-day personnel matters and hiring decisions.

· Monitor work volumes, assign and balance workloads, and develop employee skills and cross-training to maintain appropriate coverage.

· Oversee physical and electronic transfers, including review of transfer documentation, governing agreements, ownership records, and transaction requirements.

· Oversee Bond of Indemnity requests involving lost, stolen, or destroyed securities, including required documentation, approvals, reporting, replacement, or payment activities.

· Ensure work is completed accurately and timely in accordance with procedures, service levels, client commitments, and applicable transfer agent requirements.

· Monitor inventory, aging, quality, productivity, and control results and address processing issues or escalations.

· Coordinate with internal and external partners to resolve transfer, lost-security, documentation, and client-service issues.

· Administer corporate policies and procedures and support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and control requirements.

· Participate in reviews of operational systems, procedures, training materials, and process improvements affecting the team.

· Support audits, regulatory reviews, business continuity activities, and corrective actions within the assigned function.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.

· Typically five or more years of relevant operations experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

· People management skills and the ability to coach, develop, and support employees.

· Knowledge of operational functions, systems, policies, and procedures for the assigned area.

· Experience in corporate trust, transfer agent operations, securities processing, or another regulated financial-services environment.

· Knowledge of securities transfers, ownership recordkeeping, physical presentments, lost-security processing, or Bond of Indemnity requirements.

· Ability to review transaction documents, governing agreements, and client instructions and apply established requirements.

· Good organizational, managerial, problem-solving, and customer-relations skills.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and deadlines.

· Ability to collaborate with internal business partners, operations teams, Legal, Risk, Compliance, clients, bondholders, and external parties.

· Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, operational risk, and internal controls.

· Ability to identify and support practical process and system improvements.

Work Environment

This role follows U.S. Bank’s hybrid work model, with an expectation of three or more days per week in the office. Primary location for manager is West Side Flats | St. Paul, Minnesota , with staff in both locations, including Lunken | Cincinnati, Ohio.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
