Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a team providing overall system integration support for a complex military development program in our C4ISR Division.
The SDL team will lead integration of a new radar system, including real-time operations of all related participants, modeled/simulated participant and subsystem data, and a software/networking environment to facilitate integrated operations – along with evaluating a digital twin which is used to test or replicate any element of the overall system. The complexity of the integration will drive the need for technical and organizational collaboration among all stakeholders and subsystem providers, each of whom will have unique constraints and primary motivations.
The selected candidate will work with SDL management, the SDL integration team, the Government program office, subsystem providers, operational stakeholders, and others as needed to ensure the required technical collaboration takes place. The selected candidate will also execute program cost and schedule planning/reporting.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Government development programs and with complex technical systems including radar, networking, mod/sim, and intel components.
This position will be based in Ogden, UT.

Roles and responsibilities associated with this position:
- Understands and addresses customer needs and issues, usually by direct interface
- Develops and nourishes a strong partner relationship with the customer program management and engineering leadership teams
- Assembles and directs corporate resources to execute the contract
- Leads complex system development by organizing and focusing the work of multiple systems engineers with diverse specialties on a common technical solution
- Ensures the technical team has clear deliverables with clear deadlines
- Coordinates with multiple corporate and Government agencies to execute the contract
- Manages tasks tracking scope, schedule, budget and quality
- Identifies, tracks, avoids, and mitigates risks
- Trades issues of scope, approach, cost, and schedule
- Delivers the contracted result
- Pursues new business development opportunities
- Travels occasionally as required for program success Generally, travel is infrequent, is within the U.S., and is for short durations (less than 1 week)

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience as a program manager for a technical effort including engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field – with demonstrated applicability to the program description and position roles/responsibilities provided above
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical issues, translate them to workable tasks, and guide technical discussions and decisions Specific experience with modeling and simulation, radio access networks, or complex WAN concepts is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage a matrixed team of personnel, develop program schedules, and control budgets to meet required deadlines
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Must be able to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a technical or business field
- 10+ years of project management experience
- Previous experience as a program manager for an effort to integrate a large system of systems
- Previous experience as a systems engineer on complex programs
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline
- Experience with Air Force, Navy, Marine, Army and/or Intelligence Community programs
- Technical experience with DoW Test and Evaluation or Experimentation
- Experience with aviation operations and/or programs
- MBA and/or PMP certification
- Experience complying with RMF or other Gov. security standards
- Active Security Clearance
*Salary Range
- $107,000 - $180,000 Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
