About FEE’s Student Engagement Team
FEE’s Student Engagement team inspires and awakens students by delivering the world-class learning experiences at the heart of FEE’s mission, introducing high school and college students to the ideas of a free society through in-person programs, webinars, and campus-based programs. The Student Engagement team runs single- and multi-day programs across North America and Latin America. Its summer campus programs bring students together for several days of learning about economics, entrepreneurship, and personal freedom.
Behind every program is a detailed operational effort: venues and vendors, speakers and faculty, travel, materials, participant recruitment, and day-of execution. The team takes pride in getting those details correct so that every participant leaves with a world-class experience that inspires & awakens.
About This Internship
The North America Programs Intern will support FEE’s Senior Associate, North America Programs and the broader Programs team, with a primary focus on the logistics and operations behind FEE’s programming in the Washington, DC office. This is an opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in event logistics, participant communication, and program operations within a mission-driven organization.
In addition to supporting DC programming, the intern will contribute to key work evolving FEE’s summer campus programming, helping research, plan, and document improvements to how these programs are recruited for, organized, and delivered. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in economic freedom and FEE’s mission, enjoys getting the details right, and is comfortable using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to work more efficiently.
The internship will be based out of FEE’s Dupont Circle office in Washington, DC, and in-person attendance is expected. The intern will report to the Student Engagement Director.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with end-to-end logistics for FEE’s single and multi-day seminars in Washington, DC, including venue and catering coordination, materials preparation, attendee travel, and room setup.
- Provide on-site support during DC programs, helping with registration, check-in, speaker and participant needs, and day-of troubleshooting.
- Support the Programs team’s work evolving FEE’s summer campus programming, including researching campus partners and venues, benchmarking comparable programs, and helping draft updated plans, timelines, and processes.
- Help build and maintain logistics resources such as run-of-show documents, logistics packets, checklists, and participant communications.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with speakers, attendees, and partners before, during, and after programs.
- Support participant outreach and recruitment, including tracking applications and referrals and following up with prospective attendees.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and project trackers in Monday.com for program participants, partners, and tasks.
- Help track program budgets, invoices, and vendor documentation for assigned programs.
- Collect and organize participant feedback and program metrics, and help prepare post-program reports.
- Use AI tools to speed up correspondence, logistics coordination, research, and reporting, and flag opportunities to improve or automate program processes.
Skills:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate; prior experience in event planning, student organizations, customer service, or administrative support is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a professional, service-oriented approach with speakers, partners, and participants.
- Comfort with, or eagerness to learn, AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for drafting, organizing, and research tasks.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.); familiarity with Salesforce and Monday.com is a plus.
- Self-directed, reliable, and collaborative; follows through on assigned tasks, is open to feedback, and brings curiosity to suggest improvements.
- Flexibility to support occasional early morning, evening, or weekend program events.
- Interest in the ideas of a free society and a commitment to FEE’s mission and principles.
- Strong candidates will have a basic understanding of economic principles and an interest in applying that knowledge to help develop engaging educational programs and prepare educational materials and activities for high school and college students.

Stand Together Fellowships pays participants a stipend of either $7,500 for full-time participants working approximately 32 hours per week at the partner organization, or $5,500 for part-time participants working approximately 24 hours per week at the partner organization. Attending the entirety of the online and on-site KIP programming is required for both full and part-time participants.
