About the role

We are seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the front-of-house team across our cafe, bar, and coffee program. In this role, you are responsible for running smooth, high-quality shifts, coaching servers, bartenders, baristas, hosts, and runners, and making sure every guest receives attentive, polished service from the first greeting to the final check.

The ideal Food & Beverage Supervisor is a hospitality-driven emerging leader who is equally at home on the floor during a packed weekend service and at the host stand coaching a new team member. They set the tone with energy, composure, and high standards, communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar, and make quick, sound decisions when the dining room is at its busiest.

What you'll do

- Supervise and support servers, bartenders, baristas, hosts, food runners, and bussers during assigned shifts
- Lead pre-shift meetings covering menu updates, specials, 86'd items, reservations, VIPs, and service priorities
- Step into any front-of-house position as needed to maintain service quality during peak periods
- Monitor service flow, table turns, section balance, and ticket times, coordinating closely with the kitchen and bar
- Engage with guests on the floor, resolving concerns and service recovery situations in real time with empathy and discretion
- Train and coach team members on service standards, menu knowledge, POS procedures, and upselling techniques
- Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service laws, ID verification, and health and food safety regulations
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, POS reconciliation, tip reporting, and shift reports
- Monitor inventory levels, par stock, and supplies, communicating ordering needs to F&B leadership
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and timekeeping accuracy to support budget goals
- Provide performance feedback, and support recruitment and onboarding
- Coordinate with hotel departments such as the front desk and events on guest requests, groups, and special occasions
- M aintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards across the dining room, bar, and service stations

Qualifications

- 2+ years of restaurant or hotel food and beverage experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role preferred Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse front-of-house team
- Strong working knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Knowledge of food, wine, beer, and cocktail service, with the ability to coach others on recommendations
- Food Handler's certification and TIPS certification required or ability to obtain promptly
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills under pressure
- Basic understanding of labor scheduling and cost controls
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for hospitality and for building a positive, high-performing team culture

Work Environment

- Active, on-your-feet role throughout the full shift in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, and cafe environment
- Frequent interaction with guests, front-of-house staff, kitchen team, and hotel leadership
- Carrying trays, plates, and beverages; regular lifting up to 30 lbs
- Exposure to varying temperatures near the kitchen and outdoor seating areas
- Occasional administrative work at a computer or POS terminal

Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly Wage Range: $21.00 per hour | Commensurate with Experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Active, property-wide overnight role requiring continuous walking and standing throughout patrol routes, indoors and outdoors. Requires consistent overnight availability, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies. Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the property for extended periods.
