Key Responsibilities
- Perform post-deployment QA on recently released product features and updates from an end-user perspective.
- Independently validate customer journeys, including account experiences, pricing, checkout flows, billing, and other transactional processes.
- Complete test transactions to ensure customers are charged accurately and that downstream billing processes function as expected.
- Verify pricing, product information, offers, discounts, and other customer-facing information for accuracy.
- Test promotional codes, discounts, and member benefits on third-party partner websites and identify offers that are expired, incorrectly configured, or not functioning as intended.
- Investigate failed promo codes, pricing discrepancies, checkout issues, and other inconsistencies and coordinate with the appropriate internal teams to resolve them.
- Conduct recurring billing and transaction audits to identify incorrect charges, missing charges, duplicate transactions, reconciliation issues, and other discrepancies.
- Compare transaction and billing information across internal systems and identify inconsistencies requiring investigation.
- Validate fixes after issues have been resolved and determine whether additional regression testing is warranted.
- Develop and maintain QA procedures, testing checklists, audit documentation, and issue tracking.
- Identify recurring patterns and systemic issues rather than treating each discrepancy as an isolated incident.
- Recommend improvements to QA, billing, and operational processes based on findings.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Member Services, Finance/Billing, Engineering, and Partnerships teams to investigate and resolve issues.
- Assist with special operational audits, data validation projects, and other cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in product operations, business operations, quality assurance, billing operations, e-commerce operations, financial operations, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required; degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies and investigate their underlying causes.
- Experience performing audits, reconciliations, QA, transaction validation, or other detail-intensive operational work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable independently investigating an issue and determining the appropriate next steps.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including working with and comparing moderately large data sets.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage recurring QA and audit responsibilities alongside ad hoc projects.
- Strong written communication skills, particularly when documenting issues and communicating findings to other teams.
- Comfortable navigating websites, checkout flows, account dashboards, payment systems, and internal business platforms.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, or Engineering teams preferred.
