About this role

Patient Financial Operations & Collections Interact directly with parents and guardians during check-in/check-out to verify payment responsibility, explain fee structures, and review account ledgers.
Proactively collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, past-due balances, and self-pay fees at time of service using cash or credit card processing terminals. Review daily appointment schedules to identify accounts with outstanding balances; issue balance alerts or initiate pre visit collection conversations by phone or email.
Set up standard payment arrangements or forward complex financial hardship discussions to the billing manager per practice guidelines. Issue electronic and physical receipts, post daily collections accurately into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and balance daily payment ledgers.
Patient Reception & Customer Service Greet pediatric patients and their families with a compassionate and reassuring demeanor. Handle check-in and check-out procedures smoothly, verifying demographic data and active insurance coverage. Answer incoming calls promptly, address parent inquiry tickets, route clinical questions to nursing/medical staff, and manage outgoing reminder communications.
Appointment Scheduling & Physician Coordination Schedule well-child checkups, sick visits, follow-ups, and immunization appointments in accordance with practice scheduling protocols.
Work closely with physicians and medical assistants to update and adapt daily schedules based on standard approaches to accommodate urgent care visits. Maintain call-backs and active waiting lists to maximize provider schedule efficiency Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $24.00
