About this role
About the Role
TNT Growth is looking for a SEO Technical Manager to lead hands-on technical SEO implementation across our clients' websites, assist with strategy and keyword research, and help review content before it goes live. This person should be able to take an audit or set of recommendations and implement it independently — from crawl and indexation fixes to Core Web Vitals improvements to general CMS troubleshooting — without needing close oversight on the execution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Implementation
- Independently implement technical SEO recommendations from audits, end to end, with minimal oversight
- Implement technical SEO changes directly on client websites across CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and others as needed)
- Make HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript edits as needed for technical SEO fixes
- Execute on-page SEO recommendations (meta tags, headers, internal linking, image optimization, etc.)
- Manage crawl and indexation issues (crawl budget, robots.txt, canonicalization, sitemaps, indexation errors)
- Diagnose and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and page speed
- Troubleshoot CMS-level issues affecting SEO performance (plugin conflicts, theme issues, broken templates, etc.)
- Install and troubleshoot schema markup
- Set up and configure Google Tag Manager, including custom event tracking
- Support Google Analytics (GA) and Google Search Console (GSC) setup and configuration
- Support website migrations with technical SEO checklists (redirects, URL mapping, metadata preservation)
Strategy Support
- Assist with keyword research to support content and SEO planning
- Conduct trend research to help identify new opportunities across client accounts
- Contribute insights from technical audits back into broader strategy discussions
Content Review
- Give content a final review before publishing, checking for accuracy, brand voice, and SEO alignment
- Flag content gaps or inconsistencies back to the strategy team
- Monitor how published content performs and share insights with the team
Collaboration
- Work closely with the SEO strategy team and development team to keep implementation on schedule
- Document completed work for internal tracking and client reporting
Qualifications:
- Proven experience implementing technical SEO directly in a CMS (not just auditing)
- Working knowledge of 2-3 major CMS platforms
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
- Agency experience or multi-client account management is a plus
- Experience managing crawl budget, indexation, and site architecture issues
- Experience diagnosing and improving Core Web Vitals
- Comfortable troubleshooting CMS-level technical issues independently
- Ability to take an audit or brief and implement recommendations end to end without hand-holding
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA, and GSC
- Familiarity with schema markup and structured data
- Basic SEO strategy knowledge — keyword research, trend research, etc.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Comfortable working from audits/briefs from tools like SEMrush or Screaming Frog
