Job Description:

We are seeking an IT Business Support Analyst II who has proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. This role will collaborate with decision-makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational needs, establish systems goals, and address system-related issues. The IT Business Analyst II will evaluate the performance of current systems and develop strategies for enhancing or optimizing their use. This role will be responsible for post-project reviews and providing recommendations to identify successful elements and areas for improvement.

The IT Business Analyst II is a US based remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation on databases and daily production processes.
- Conduct detailed interviews, workshops, and surveys with key stakeholders, including business leaders, end-users, and other relevant parties.
- Understand business needs, challenges, and objectives comprehensively and captured accurately.
- Translate business and technical requirements into formal business analysis deliverable documents.
- Flexibility is key, as this role must adapt to changing business demands and project needs.
- Collaborate closely with the development team throughout the implementation/development process.
- Maintain open lines of communication and provide ongoing support to help identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring that the final product not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the stakeholders. This synergy between analysis, design, and development is crucial for delivering high-quality IT solutions that drive business success.
- Write and maintain detailed requirement documents, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and project deliverables.
- Responsible for testing and quality assurance, including creating test cases, participating in various types of testing (such as unit, integration, and user acceptance testing), and validating that the system performs as expected.
- Identify, document, and track issues and defects, working closely with development teams to ensure they are resolved efficiently.
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization, including but is not limited to performing cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in implementation decisions.
- Manage multiple projects with limited direction, possessing a strong customer service orientation.
- Communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly terms.
- Perform intermediate to complex maintenance and configuration.
- Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives, along with strong written and oral communication skills, is essential to this role.
- Keen attention to detail, capable of working collaboratively within cross-functional teams across the organization interacting directly with customers and end-users, understanding their business practices while managing their expectations.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks, ensuring that objectives are met in a timely manner.
- Exercise independent judgment and confidently act when necessary, demonstrating a strong ability to manage and complete complex projects with minimal direction.
- Serve as a mentor to others in the business analysis role, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed in their positions.

Job Requirements :

- Must be able to obtain government clearance after hire. US Citizenship is required by the US government in order to obtain government clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science or Information Technology from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry standard certifications are a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of software and/or hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Working knowledge on importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
- High level of understanding of software design concepts.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge of relational database technologies.
- Advanced experience and skills with Microsoft Office and Visio tools
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
- Ability to write and understand medium complexity database queries.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

The starting salary for this position is $68,000/year. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
