Job Summary:
Responsible for the management of customer accounts. Oversee transportation spend and shipments for both inbound and outbound transactions and collaborate with key stakeholders across Estes to resolve customer problems. The successful candidate will interact daily with the senior level logistics and transportation personnel to drive continuous improvement to supply chain practices, cost reductions and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as advocate for customer and liaison between the Estes corporate office and the customer supply chain team to identify and resolve problems for specific customer. Research and develop ongoing solutions to prevent repeatable problems
- Work with Estes departments such as Pricing, Time Critical, Payment Services, Sales, Operations and others to ensure Estes’ revenue goals are achieved
- Assist with creation of technological improvements to allow clients to secure necessary information faster and with less cost
- Collaborate with customer corporate logistics and transportation teams to identify and communicate opportunities to enhance existing supply chain engagement with Estes
- May focus on growing Estes Premium Services including Time Critical and Domestic Ocean markets.
- Partner with customers to conduct and lead quarterly business reviews, analyze goal results and develop plans for account growth and continuous improvements
- Interact with senior customer management at both the corporate and field Levels
- Build sustainable relationships with internal and external customers
- Provide Supply Chain expertise to Customer Management Team
- Minimum 10% travel to develop and maintain business relationships with various customers on-site at their locations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in logistics or business related fields of discipline, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- Self-directed with the ability to make decisions and achieve strong results with minimum oversight, often in ambiguous situations
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Proven track record of delivering measurable results and executing strategic and tactical plans to meet operational objectives
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels, internal and external to Estes
- Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and “out of the box” thinking to develop new approaches to solve existing problems
- Strong customer focus with the ability to perform effectively in a matrix organization
- Proven project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Proficient in software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
