Sr. Associate, Communications - Multimedia Specialist (Hybrid)

About the Role
We’re seeking a Multimedia Specialist to join the Card Communications team who will be responsible for delivering best-in-class videos and design graphics which help us tell the Card story. These creative elements will be featured in both local and Card-wide communication vehicles and will cover some of our most important moments that matter throughout the year. You’ll inform and engage associates across the organization, helping them stay connected to our business priorities and feel engaged as part of our inclusive culture.
You’ll partner closely with key stakeholders to uncover compelling story ideas, consult on the most appropriate ways to tell these stories through video and graphics and deeply understand our associates’ preferences by generating data-based insights. We’re looking for someone who can partner with communicators in conceptualizing videos and graphics for executive and associate storytelling, capture and edit content into polished pieces, and bring fresh, and think creatively regarding how we connect our people to our strategy.
You will have the opportunity to frequently see your work showcased to more than 30,000 associates while working side-by-side with smart, talented people who will challenge you to grow and excel.
The ideal candidate will be located central to Richmond, VA, DC/Northern Virginia area, or Wilmington, DE with the ability to work on-site in McLean, or Richmond, as needed for occasional video shoots and podcast recording sessions.
On any given day, you will:
- Work with communicators and senior leaders to translate creative needs and requests into high-impact stories
- Design and produce engaging video and graphic assets for initiatives and communications channels including e-mail, Slack, newsletters, print/digital signage and live Town Halls
- Develop creative concepts for creative requests,presenting them confidently to communications and business stakeholders
- Facilitate our relationship with third-party vendors as needed
- Prepare,manage and direct video and audio shoots,coaching senior leaders and associates in real time to show up seamlessly on camera
- Learn new technologies that continually enhance our visual storytelling
- Utilize available engagement metrics to inform and refine visual strategies
- Ensure all produced pieces adhere to brand guidelines, executive tone and quality standards
- Share ideas and best practices within the team
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Card business strategy, leadership priorities, and communication strategies to drive high-value products

Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least three years experience in video and graphic design production in corporate, agency or production firm environment
- At least two years experience with in person and remote video/audio concept development and production
- At least two years of experience in the Adobe suite including video/audio editing using Premiere Pro, After Effects or Adobe Audition
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong portfolio showcasing video/audio work
- Must be comfortable working in a corporate environment and able to work quickly under tight deadlines

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $88,800 - $101,300 for Sr. Communications Associate
Richmond, VA: $80,800 - $92,200 for Sr. Communications Associate
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
