About this role

Test Engineer
The Opportunity:

When a customer takes delivery of a RF system or product, they expect it to meet the functional and performance specifications. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful product development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test hardware and software systems and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best product possible.

We are seeking a highly motivated RF System Test Engineer to validate next-generation radio frequency systems built for the US Intelligence Community (IC) and Defense Community. In this role, you will design, execute, and automate comprehensive test strategies for mission-critical systems used in survey, collection, precision geolocation, jamming, and spoofing of adversarial RF Signals of Interest (SOI). You will test these capabilities across diverse deployment formfactors, including terrestrial rack based or unattended ground sensor, payload in unmanned systems, man-portable tactical gear, and space-based COTS integrations, utilizing a wide array of vendor-agnostic Software Defined Radios (SDRs). You will generate data and implement the test procedures to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can resolve any functional or performance issues you find.

Core Responsibilities

- End-to-End System Validation: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and reports to validate SIGINT, Electronic Attack (EA), and Geolocation system-level requirements.
- Multi-Platform Test Execution: Validate system performance across varying environmental and physical constraints, including dense terrestrial racks, SWaP-constrained unmanned or man-portable platforms, and simulated space environments for COTS hardware.
- SDR & RF Test Integration: Configure, calibrate, and interface multiple vendor SDR platforms with RF test equipment to simulate complex, multi-emitter adversarial RF environments.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Python or MATLAB to streamline regression testing and data analysis.
- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL): Establish and execute HWIL, lab-bench, and chamber testing to isolate hardware anomalies, firmware bugs, and software integration issues.
- Field & Range Support: Lead or support formal government acceptance testing, field deployments, and operational range test events against simulated tactical threats.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

- 5+ years of experience in system integration and testing (I&T) and verification and validation of system requirements within the defense or intelligence communities, specifically focused on survey of the RF environment, signal collection, precision emitter geolocation, signal jamming, or spoofing systems
- Experience configuring and testing systems utilizing broad vendor SDR architectures such as Ettus, NI USRP, or Epiq Solutions
- Experience with RF test and measurement instrumentation, including Vector Signal Generators (VSGs), Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, and Digital Oscilloscopes
- Ability to use a scripting language, such as Python or MATLAB, for test automation and post-test data reduction
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a technology field

Nice If You Have:

- Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for tracking system anomalies, test case management, and requirement traceability
- Knowledge of defense open standards such as SOSA, MORA, or REDHAWK or GNU Radio frameworks
- TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
