About this role

The Texas Hub Leader is a key member of NavSav's leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. A Hub is a NavSav regional business unit responsible for the performance of multiple markets within a defined geography. Based in Houston, the Texas Hub Leader has full ownership of the Hub and its P&L, with responsibility for Texas and several additional states. The Hub Leader is accountable for revenue, new business, retention, organic growth, contribution margin, producer performance, recruiting, and talent development across the Hub.

All Hub associates have a solid-line reporting relationship to the Hub Leader, including Personal Lines producers, Personal Lines service associates, Commercial Lines producers, and Commercial Lines service associates. Commercial Lines producers and Commercial Lines service associates have a dotted-line relationship through NavSav's Commercial Lines organization, which establishes national Commercial Lines standards, processes, best practices, and capability development. Personal Lines service associates have a dotted-line relationship to NavSav's national Personal Lines Service organization. Personal Lines producers report solely to the Hub Leader. The Hub Leader owns overall Hub performance and personnel accountability, while working with the functional organizations to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the matrixed roles.

The Hub Leader is responsible for building a high-performing organization, establishing a strong sales and accountability culture, recruiting and developing producers, strengthening carrier relationships, and executing NavSav's strategy across the Hub.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership and Financial Performance

- Own the full Hub P&L, including revenue, budget, expenses, and contribution margin

- Develop and execute the annual Hub business plan, including new business, retention, revenue, margin, and hiring targets

- Lead all Hub associates across Personal Lines and Commercial Lines sales and service

- Build a performance-oriented culture with clear goals, pipeline discipline, coaching, accountability, and performance management

- Make timely talent and performance decisions, coordinating with the applicable functional organization for matrixed roles

- Develop bench strength and succession plans for key producer, service, and leadership roles

- Ensure E&O best practices and compliance standards are followed across the Hub

- Lead through organizational change and drive consistent sales and operating disciplines across the Hub

Producer Development and Sales Leadership

- Coach and develop newly hired and seasoned Commercial Lines and Personal Lines producers/brokers and help close business

- Drive revenue and organic growth through new business development and client retention

- Set clear expectations for producer performance and hold producers accountable for results, partnering with the Commercial Lines organization for Commercial Lines producers

- Lead weekly sales sessions for new and established producers

- Lead strategy sessions with producers and resource teams to prepare for prospect and client meetings

- Attend prospect and client meetings with producers and resource teams

- Execute and lead NavSav's core sales processes and playbook

- Own the accuracy and discipline of the Hub's sales pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce CRM

Recruiting and Talent Development

- Partner with the recruiting team to source, recruit, hire, and develop Commercial Lines and Personal Lines producers to meet annual hiring targets

- Maintain an active pipeline of high-quality producer candidates

- Manage producer ramp-up and validation against defined milestones

- Build the producer bench required to support sustained organic growth

Client Retention and Service

- Lead Personal Lines and Commercial Lines service associates to deliver strong client service, retention, and operating performance, partnering with the applicable Commercial Lines and Personal Lines functional organizations on standards, processes, and capability development

- Drive policy and premium retention across the Hub's books of business

- Work across sales and service teams to identify and address client retention risks

- Ensure transition and retention plans are in place for producer departures, retirements, leaves, and book transfers

Market and Carrier Leadership

- Build and maintain senior relationships with key commercial and personal lines carrier partners and use them to improve market access, placement capabilities, and growth

- Drive two-way cross-selling between Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Life, Health, Employee Benefits, and other NavSav practices

- Help develop sales and marketing strategies and communications to strengthen NavSav's position across the Hub's markets

- Represent NavSav in meetings, seminars, trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities

Key Performance Metrics

- New business: new business revenue against annual targets

- Policy (PIF) retention: performance against annual targets

- Premium retention: performance against annual targets

- Organic revenue growth: measured under NavSav's standard methodology, excluding acquisition growth

- Hub contribution margin: performance against annual targets under NavSav's standard financial methodology

- Producer productivity: performance against established productivity and validation standards

- Producer recruiting and development: hiring, ramp-up, validation, and retention against annual targets

- Sales pipeline and forecasting: pipeline quality, discipline, and forecast accuracy

Qualifications

Required

- 15+ years of P&C insurance brokerage experience, including significant commercial lines experience

- Successful track record as an individual commercial P&C broker, including winning and retaining complex middle-market accounts

- 8+ years of successful leadership of insurance producers in a performance-driven sales organization, preferably across multiple offices or a region

- Experience leading both producer and service organizations with accountability for growth, retention, talent, and operating performance

- Demonstrated understanding of Personal Lines products, carrier markets, service models, and economics

- Proven track record recruiting high-quality P&C producers and ramping new hires to productivity

- Demonstrated accountability for new business, retention, revenue growth, producer productivity, profitability, and P&L performance

- Experience leading through change and establishing consistent sales and operating disciplines across teams, offices, or acquired businesses

- Experience leading in a matrixed organization

- Deep commercial P&C knowledge and strong relationships within the commercial and personal lines carrier marketplace

- Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, sales process, and CRM discipline

- Active Texas General Lines (Property and Casualty) license

- Active Texas General Lines (Life, Accident, and Health) license, or ability to obtain within a defined period after hire

- Ability to obtain required nonresident licenses in other Hub states

- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions and at all organizational levels

- Executive presence and the ability to engage effectively with senior clients, prospects, carrier executives, and internal leadership

Preferred

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

- CIC, CRM, CPCU, or similar professional designation

Location and Travel
Houston-based, with responsibility for Texas and several additional states; regular travel throughout the Hub's markets is required.

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus incentive compensation tied to Hub performance.
