Job Type: Full-time
About the Role
Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration, Inc. is seeking a proactive, multi-tasking Field Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team in Wheeling, WV. This is an active, field-based position rather than a static corporate director or manufacturing role. You will spend your days traveling to multiple residential and commercial restoration, cleaning, and construction job sites in a company-provided vehicle to conduct hands-on safety compliance checks, ensure OSHA alignment, and mentor our field techs.
If you have 1–3 years of construction or restoration safety experience, a sharp eye for detail, and know how to balance strict regulatory reporting with a supportive, team-first approach, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
• Field Audits & Site Visits: Conduct regular site visit safety compliance checks and field surveys across multiple active restoration and construction sites using a company vehicle.
• Compliance & OSHA Reporting: Maintain rigorous OSHA compliance. Author, complete, and submit accurate safety reports, compliance audits, and hazard assessments under tight deadlines.
• Incident & Injury Management: Lead the documentation, reporting, and systematic follow-up for all employee injuries. Manage the administration of workers’ compensation reports.
• Field Mentorship: Demonstrate and model proper safety compliance to field technicians. Provide real-time safety tips, toolbox talks, and corrective guidance.
• Chemical Safety Oversight: Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and SDS compliance for standard cleaning and restoration chemicals (non-hazmat).
• Clear Communication: Serve as the primary safety liaison, delivering excellent verbal and written communications between field technicians, project managers, and executive leadership.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of dedicated experience in field safety, construction safety, or restoration compliance.
• Education: Post-secondary education in a safety-related field (e.g., Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or relevant professional safety certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, or COSS). High School Diploma alone is not sufficient.
• Skills: Strong multi-tasking abilities, strict attention to detail, and a proven track record of meeting tight reporting deadlines.
• Travel: Ability and willingness to travel daily to multiple local/regional job sites (valid driver’s license and clean driving record required).
What We Offer (Benefits)
• Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
• Financial & Protection Security: 401(k) retirement plan, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Company-Paid Life Insurance, and Optional Supplemental Life Insurance
• Work-Life Balance: Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holiday Pay
• Job Tools: Company-provided vehicle for all work-related travel
To Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your field safety experience and certifications.
