ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will work in various areas using various industrial equipment to provide a smooth and safe operation. Position works on a rotating shift schedule.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Ensure compliance with ISO environmental and quality standards, and housekeeping. Maintain high work standards.
- Ability to operate various heavy equipment.
- Will be required to learn how to operate a gantry crane for unloading vessels caring fuels and raw materials
- Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience: 2-4 years industrial experience, prefer 5-10 years experience.
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills
Additional Requirements:
- A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- High degree of safety awareness
- Initiative; ability to learn; team player; and strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum direct supervision
- Energy – consistently maintain high level of productivity.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
