The Production and Material Planning Manager is responsible for leading production and material planning activities across the manufacturing network to ensure reliable product availability, optimized inventory, and effective capacity utilization. This role leads a team of planners, drives planning performance, and partners cross-functionally to translate demand into executable supply plans while advancing continuous improvement through the Danaher Business System (DBS).

This position reports to the Site Operations Director and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Waltham, MA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Translate demand into feasible production, inventory, capacity, and replenishment plans that support customer delivery, operational performance, and business objectives.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Commercial teams, and Global Supply Planning to manage supply constraints, capacity planning, and business planning activities.
- Establish planning strategies and inventory parameters that balance service levels, working capital, and operational risk across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Leverage data, KPI management, Daily Management, and structured problem solving to improve planning performance, customer service, inventory health, and operational efficiency.
- Sponsor or lead projects related to supply chain transformation, planning system enhancements, product launches, sourcing strategies, and process improvements.
- Provide planning insights, risk assessments, and recommendations that enable informed operational and strategic decisions.
- Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for production and materials planning professionals while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Long-standing experience in production planning, material planning, supply planning, inventory management, or manufacturing operations.
- Previous people leadership experience, including performance management, talent development, and team leadership.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and planning tools within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing inventory, supply planning, capacity planning, and service performance metrics.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering operational improvements.
- Experience operating within a regulated manufacturing, life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, or similar production environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
- Experience with the Danaher Business System (DBS), Lean, or comparable continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is 91,500-160,000 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
