Job Description:
At Wegmans, our store security teams are committed to keeping our customers and employees safe. Our security specialists play a critical role helping to communicate between the Asset Protection team and the store leadership group. We’re seeking an independent individual who is task-oriented and can build strong relationships throughout the store while keeping customer service top of mind!

What You'll Do
- Partner with management to implement asset protection strategies that drive sales and reduce shrink; analyze trends, benchmarks, and data
- Execute safety programs to ensure a safe, positive environment for customers and employees
- Build strong relationships with community organizations and emergency responders to enhance safety awareness
- Monitor customers, vendors, and employees to prevent loss; investigate and process shoplifting incidents
- Respond to emergencies and provide ongoing support and guidance to employees and customers
Requirements
- 2 or more years of related work experience
- Proven ability to effectively resolve problems and manage conflict
- Ability to use good judgment and make difficult decisions that affect the safety and well-being of others
- Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in a stressful environment
- Technical aptitude, including advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related degree
- Military, security, loss prevention or asset protection experience
- Experience as a first responder and/or Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Leadership experience
