About this role

KyCAD would like to announce a new position in the capacity of Adjunct Lecturer of Studio Art. This position is for a three-week course taking place Fall 2026, Session 3 (November 30-December 18, M-R 9:00-11:30 and 1:30-5pm ). This position is open to Internal and External applications.

Position Description :

Under the direction of the Chair of Studio Art, the Adjunct Lecturer would have the opportunity to instruct CAP 410: Professional Seminar .

Compensation:

Salary: $4,000 per 3 credit course

Course Description:

CAP 410: Professional Seminar

3 credits

Professional Seminar prepares students to transition from academic study to professional creative practice. Students examine topics such as professional documentation, budgeting and project planning, contracts and agreements, intellectual property considerations, and strategies for working with clients, collaborators, and organizations.

Through discussion, case studies, and practical exercises, students develop tools for sustaining creative practice and engaging with professional opportunities after graduation.

Pre-requisite: Senior Standing

Responsibilities:

- Develop and teach to the objectives of the approved

- Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate the level of achievement, and assign grades for the program.

Qualifications:

- Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Studio Art, or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Studio Art or a closely related visual arts field, such as Curatorial Studies or Arts Management.

- Preferred teaching experience: 3 years
