ABOUT THIS ROLE

Lead strategic internal and external communications that advance Cincinnati Children's mission, engage key audiences, and elevate our brand. This experienced communications professional manages complex initiatives, develops compelling content and messaging, partners with leaders across the organization, and drives high-impact projects with a high degree of independence and expertise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Content Creation-  Produce accurate, CCHMC-voiced, engaging content for a multitude of platforms. Provide copy editing support and content production for multiple departments/teams. Participate in planning meetings, committees, training, and other enterprise-wide tasks as required. Strategically plans, monitors, and adjusts long-term communications to support the goals of the organization and department.
- Content Management-  Writes enterprise-wide content for publishing internally or externally, monitors quality and manages vendors. Identifies opportunities for improvements and proposes solutions to execute on. Mentors junior team members. Edits work of other team members.
- Planning-  Responsible for budget or large scope initiatives. Management of approved vendors to ensure content delivered to Children's standard and deadlines. May be responsible for managing publications.
- Emergency communication response-  Prepares content for senior M&C leadership approval concerning sensitive local/national/international topics. Participates in 24-7 by 365 rotation for on-call. Strategically evaluates crisis communication plans and makes recommendations. Participates in crisis drills and activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years of work experience in corporate communications
- Preferred: healthcare experience ​
