We are currently looking for a Product Stewardship & Regulatory consultant, EMEA to join us in the Aramids Arclin business.

The Product Stewardship & Regulatory consultant, EMEA supports compliance with European, Middle Eastern, and African chemical, product safety, environmental, and transportation regulations applicable to Aramids products and applications. Working closely with commercial, supply chain, and manufacturing teams, this role helps ensure Aramids products meet regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle and can be successfully marketed across the region.

Responsibilities include knowledge on European Regulation, maintaining regulatory data, approving Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), supporting product notifications and registrations, monitoring regulatory developments, and responding to customer and internal compliance inquiries. The position contributes to the company's commitment to product safety, regulatory excellence and responsible stewardship and sustainability while supporting innovation and business growth across EMEA markets.
Key Responsibilities

- Monitor regulatory environment for implementation of new legislation in areas of sale and ensure maintained compliance with any changes- European Regulation (REACH, EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, new Drinking water Regulation, Ecodesign for sustainable products )

- Translate product stewardship and regulatory impacts into options to support business strategies and assist in implementation in the Management of change reviews of new and existing products.

- Support customers of the Aramid business by replying to customer inquiries regarding product stewardship and regulatory compliance inquiries.

- Partner with the Center of excellence and PS&R experts and/or other business functions to engage with Suppliers when necessary to collect data necessary for compliance.

- Support impact assessment reporting to check compliance of existing formulations against regulations in collaboration with other functions.

- Anticipate potential future regulatory action that could impact the business to aid planning.

- Interact with external stakeholders as industry associations and technical consortia.

Professional Qualifications

- Bachelors degree or higher in science field.

- 5+ years experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory affairs function, preferably in a multinational corporate environment.

- Deep knowledge of key European regulatory drivers of the global chemical industry, for industrial markets. In-depth knowledge in drinking water directive is a plus.

- Practical experience in interpreting European product regulatory requirements for B2B applications.

- Ability to understand complex regulations pertaining to chemical substances.

- Team building abilities and willingness. Attitude to w ork independently with minimal guidance.

- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

- Customer-focused, result-oriented and able to work under pressure.

- Proficient in power apps, SAP and sharepoint experience will be a plus.

Other requirements

- Availability to work on a hybrid setting, 2 days from home and 3 days onsite. Preferred location in Asturias.
