About this role

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor the use and misuse of prescription medications and illicit drugs. The testing is used by healthcare professionals to obtain objective information about patients’ recent use of prescription medications and/or illicit drugs and helps monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans.

The Facilities Technician is responsible for assisting in the day to day operation and maintenance of all MH facilities, by ensuring all laboratory and office areas are clean and fully functional.

- Assist Facilities Technician II with overseeing systems that include heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, humidification, and electrical systems.
- Install whiteboards, pictures, monitor screens and various types of ergonomic equipment.
- Perform minor patching and painting throughout office and laboratory space
- Perform in general building repair and maintenance duties for all facilities including grounds, office and common areas.
- Assist Facilities Technician II with reconfigurations, installs, positions, and remounts office furniture and spaces (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks
- Responds to emergency calls and performs repairs for roof leaks, spills, rest room cleaning, and various other requests.
- Communicate on a regular basis with Facilities Manager to resolve issues
- Respond to all facilities tickets and see them through to resolution.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Performs other job duties as assigned
- Must be available for occasional rotation for afterhours emergency coverage

Requirements

Education

- Minimum High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience

- At least 3 years relevant work experience
- Experience in laboratory environment highly desirable

Skill/Abilities

- Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state in which you are employed.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work efficiently in a CMMS System
- Ability to operate security badge and video systems effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without accommodations
- Ability to stand for 8 hours or more on a given shift
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail oriented and strong sense of urgency
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, must be able to frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. , occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, regularly lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds, often bends, stoops and crouches to adjust settings on office machinery and equipment. Must be able to work safely on a ladder and on building roofs.

Work environment is a combination indoor, office/lab and outdoor environment with exposure to moderate noise and moving mechanical office/lab machines. Within the Laboratory, the noise level is usually moderate. The employee is regularly exposed to high pressure/high stress situations and is occasionally exposed to moving testing machines.

Potential Hiring Range:

- Salary Range: $25.00 – $30.00 / hour
- Salary offered is dependent on qualifications and experience.
