Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Wine, Spirits, and Beer Assistant Team Leader onsite at our Shellbrook Corner Location in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. This position will supervise team members, maintain inventory and champion Asset Protection and Safety Management in the Wine, Spirits and Beer section encompassing sales of approximately $1.8 million.

What You Will Do:
•Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
•Provide an exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels.
•Support and lead a high-performance Wine, Spirits, and Beer (WSB) team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency.
•Supervise and motivate team members to meet productivity and customer experience standards.
•Assist the WSB department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards.
•Assist in cooler and warehouse organization, including storage, cleanliness, and product accessibility.
•Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards and practices to maintain high levels of accuracy and minimal loss.
•Provide superior leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and feedback.
•Train team members on WSB knowledge, storage protocols, and seasonal offerings.
•Become familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, lottery, liquor, and fireworks.
•Oversee the completion of daily reports, reconciliations, and purchases.
•Assist in overseeing Gas Bar and C-Store operations as required.
•Act as an internal resource for staff and management on all related WSB inquiries.
•Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures.
•Perform minor repairs to assets as required.
•Perform all other duties as required.
Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Shellbrook Corner Team Leader you will collaborate closely with the C-Store Team Leaders and team members to ensure smooth daily operations and to meet sales targets. Supporting the sales teams with your WSB expertise, you will help them confidently assist customers and drive sales.

Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and meet the following:
• High school diploma or equivalent; retail liquor sales and supervisory experience are considered assets.
• Strong knowledge of WSB trends and products (craft and commercial).
• 19+ years of age; Serve It Right certification is considered an asset.
• Creative, self-reliant, goal oriented, and can set and adjust priorities in an ever-changing retail environment.
• Strong understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures.
• Work well under pressure and are savvy with balancing and meeting multiple strict deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively using multiple communication channels.
• Available to work a flexible schedule; evenings and weekends are required.
• Have or are willing to obtain your forklift certification.
• Able to fulfill physical job requirements; standing for extended periods, lifting and moving cases of product (up to 50
lbs), navigating storage areas, and working in cold environments such as beer and walk in coolers.
• Carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) for intermittent day travel.
