Child Care Technician
Location: Hot Springs, AR
Job Summary
Responsible for the care of children in the SWS program. May involve limited care of Transitional Living children, formerly in the residential SWS program, if requested and approved by the facility Director.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in a timely manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have excellent communication skills and be a problem solver. The ability to work well with children and mothers of children in treatment at GRC. Knowledge of learning techniques appropriate for children ages newborn – 6. The person in this position must pass a background check and not be on a child maltreatment list.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of a GED or high school diploma; previous experience in childcare. Must have CPR/First Aid/Infant CPR training and keep it current. If required by the location Director, this person must be RADD/RDS certified in order to assist with medication calls, if needed. Must have taken a babysitting exam approved by HHI.

Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, knell, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 35 pounds or less; manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Job Duties
- Assist with developing and implement the child care program for HHI, with the understanding that HHI provides babysitting services, not a licensed child care
- Support the work and goals of the Specialized Women’s Services (SWS)
- Provide parent/child interaction reports, as
- Maintain inventory of childcare
- Coordinate follow-up with participants for program services pertaining to
- Maintain daily documentation of child activities for SWS Coordinator, mother and required regulatory bodies.
- Participate in trainings and workshops, virtual and in-person for staff development purposes. These may be required by funding sources, referral sources, the SWS Coordinator and/or the facility Director.
- Other duties as assigned
