We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Operations Technician to support production planning, scheduling, ERP/MRP data management, and operational reporting. This position works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and quality teams to keep operations on schedule and provide leadership with accurate, timely information.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, staffing, and production capacity.

- Monitor work orders and production progress, identify bottlenecks, and communicate delays or resource needs.

- Coordinate with departments to support material availability, workflow, and customer delivery requirements.

- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP records for production orders, labor, materials, inventory, and completed work.

- Verify production data and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering output, efficiency, downtime, labor, inventory, and other operational metrics.

- Develop spreadsheets, dashboards, and KPI reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

- Present production updates, performance trends, and operational concerns to management and executive leadership.

- Support forecasting, capacity planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Coordinate or direct operations personnel as assigned, including staffing priorities, workflow, and training support.

- Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

Required Qualifications

- At least 3 years of manufacturing or production experience .

- Proven experience with production planning and scheduling.

- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems .

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel .

- Experience maintaining production records and creating operational reports.

- Previous supervisory, lead, or manufacturing team-coordination experience.

- Understanding of manufacturing processes, work orders, inventory, and production flow.

- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings to leadership.

- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

- Experience with advanced ERP/MRP reporting functions.

- Experience developing production dashboards and KPI reports.

- Knowledge of inventory control and material requirements planning.

- Experience with forecasting and production capacity planning.

- Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

- Experience presenting operational data to senior management or executives.

- Experience supporting multiple production teams, departments, or shifts.

Work Environment

Work includes office tasks and time on the production floor, with exposure to machinery, dust, noise, and varying temperatures. Duties may require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
