Job Description
AECOM Hunt is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Director with aviation construction experience to support our upcoming aviation construction project in St. Louis, MO.

Job Description:
- Leads the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of AECOM quality management systems for the project, ensuring required quality evidence, inspection records and documentation are maintained.
- Provides quality leadership across airport/aviation building construction and key interfaces with civil, airside and landside work, with particular attention to vertical construction and building envelope scope.
- Manages and coordinates project quality personnel and third-party inspectors, establishing priorities, providing guidance and driving accountability for quality results.
- Oversees project inspection, testing, reporting and documentation requirements within a highly regulated aviation construction environment.
- Partners with project leadership, field teams, trade contractors, designers and inspectors to identify quality risks early, resolve technical issues and drive corrective actions.
- Reviews and supports QC preconstruction activities, subcontractor quality plans, material submittals, technical reports, inspection/testing records and nonconformance resolution.
- Provides guidance to employees within established policies and recommends changes to procedures based on project needs, lessons learned and industry requirements.
- Acts as an advisor to project teams to meet schedules and resolve technical quality problems; may have budget responsibilities and responsibility for functional-area results.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BS Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related curriculum and 10 years of professional Construction Quality Management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated construction quality assurance/quality control experience on airport or aviation projects. Direct airport experience is required for this role.
- Demonstrated experience leading or managing quality personnel, inspectors and/or third-party inspection teams.
- Experience with vertical/building construction, including direct exposure to building envelope systems and quality requirements.
- Airport terminal or other vertical aviation construction experience with working knowledge of building, civil, airside and landside interfaces.
- Experience with building envelope systems such as roofing, waterproofing, glazing/facade, air/vapor barriers, windows and sealants.
- Experience in construction quality control involving reinforced concrete, structural steel and welding, and other major building trades.
- Experience with field testing, construction engineering, technical reports, inspection documentation, nonconformance tracking and corrective actions.
- Experience managing third-party inspections and QC preconstruction activities for subcontractors and subcontractor materials.
- Experience with airport authority construction requirements, regulations and documentation standards.
- Understanding of ASTM standards, applicable building codes and construction testing procedures.
- Broad construction quality experience across major building trades, including building envelope, life safety, interiors and MEP/FP systems.
- Experience in Construction Project Management.
Physical Demands:
- The following physical demands represent those typically required of individuals working in construction field roles, with or without accommodation. Construction field positions require physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and stairs, use personnel hoists, and move through various terrain and active construction zones. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Team members must be capable of using their hands to handle tools and materials, and perform activities such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted may be necessary on an occasional basis.
Work Environment:
- Individuals in construction field roles work primarily on active job sites where exposure to environmental and job-related hazards is common, with or without accommodation. These environments may include proximity to heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks. Noise levels may vary from moderate to high depending on the phase of construction. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and must remain alert to ensure safety. Additional duties may be assigned as needed based on the scope and progress of the project.
