About this role
We are seeking an energetic, personable, and results-driven Sales Manager to join our growing sales team and drive group and transient business at our boutique hotel in Twentynine Palms, CA, just outside Joshua Tree National Park.
Working closely with the Director of Sales, this role will own key group segments, including entertainment and film/production, along with oversight of the hotels transient consortia business. The Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting new business, developing accounts, managing inbound opportunities, and converting qualified leads into booked revenue.
This is a full-time, remote, exempt position that reports to the Director of Sales. The role requires an on-property presence as needed for site tours, client visits, key events, and other sales-related needs. Candidates within driving distance of Twentynine Palms are preferred .
The base salary range for this position is $70,304 - $80,000.

What Youll Do
- Own and grow assigned group segments, including entertainment and film/production.
- Take full ownership of the hotels transient consortia business, including account development, relationship management, and identifying opportunities to grow production.
- Proactively prospect and develop new business across assigned segments, building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Respond to inbound leads, qualify opportunities, conduct site tours, prepare proposals and contracts, negotiate rates and terms, and convert inquiries into booked business.
- Manage accounts throughout the sales cycle and build relationships with planners, production contacts, travel advisors, consortia partners, and other key accounts.
- Partner with the Director of Sales on overall sales strategy, account development, need periods, market opportunities, and revenue goals.
- Work closely with the Events Coordinator and property teams to ensure a smooth transition from contracted group business into planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, account activity, pipeline reporting, and sales performance metrics.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site tours, and property visits as needed.
- Represent the hotel at relevant industry events, trade shows, networking events, and client-facing opportunities.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management and property leadership on pricing, availability, account strategy, and opportunities to grow group and transient revenue.
What You Bring to the Table
- 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
- Experience prospecting, managing, and converting group business.
- Experience within entertainment and film/production sales is a plus.
- Experience with consortia or other transient sales accounts is preferred.
- Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop new accounts and convert opportunities into booked business.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, proposals, contracts, negotiations, and closing.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM and hotel sales systems, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with the Director of Sales and property team.
- Ability to travel to the property as needed for site tours, client visits, events, and other sales-related needs.
- Candidates within driving distance of Twentynine Palms are preferred.
- Familiarity with the Joshua Tree/Twentynine Palms market or a similar destination market is a plus.
