About this role

Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a subcontractor providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) intelligence support for operational, functional, and Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) capability-development efforts. This support is provided to the Intelligence Futures Capability Directorate (I-FCD), Requirements Determination Division (RD), at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Support includes determining required capabilities, performing analysis, identifying gaps, developing solutions across the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) spectrum, integrating capabilities across all warfighting functions, conducting studies and analysis, developing and integrating operational architecture, optimizing force designs, and providing capability analysis and management. The goal is to assist in the development of a combat-ready intelligence force for the Army and Joint forces within established resources.

The Intel Research Specialist II must be able to read, write, think critically, speak clearly, and present information in a clear and confident manner. Additionally, individuals will possess interpersonal skills that enable them to work efficiently with senior leaders and as members of a team. The Intel Research Specialist II will develop and provide required documentation, products, and services in support of the following tasks:

Responsibilities:

- Conduct A&E research and assessment to identify intelligence mission needs, information gaps, analytic challenges, and future capability requirements.
- Evaluate current and emerging A&E processes, tools, data sources, workflows, and interoperability requirements in support of Army intelligence operations.
- Assess A&E capability gaps across the DOTMLPF-P domains and develop integrated materiel and non-materiel recommendations.
- Support requirements development for A&E capabilities, including data integration, processing, exploitation, visualization, dissemination, automation, and analytic collaboration.
- Analyze the potential application of emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, advanced analytics, and data-management tools—to improve A&E effectiveness, timeliness, and scalability.
- Coordinate with intelligence analysts, collection managers, technical experts, operational users, and other stakeholders to validate A&E requirements and support operational use cases.
- Develop technical and decision-support products that clearly describe A&E operational problems, capability gaps, performance needs, risks, dependencies, and recommended solutions.

Requirements

- Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Knowledge of intelligence analysis and exploitation processes, workflows, and enabling capabilities.
- Experience conducting research or analysis related to intelligence production, data exploitation, processing, analytic tools, intelligence dissemination, or intelligence-system interoperability.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources and identify key findings, assumptions, risks, and implications.
- Experience preparing concise, professional written products and briefings for military, civilian, technical, or senior-leader audiences.
- Working knowledge of Army or Joint requirements, force development, capability development, modernization, acquisition, or related processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong communication, coordination, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting Army, Joint, or defense intelligence A&E missions, systems, modernization efforts, or capability development activities.
- Familiarity with intelligence data architectures, analytic tradecraft, processing and exploitation workflows, collection-to-analysis integration, and intelligence dissemination processes.
- Experience assessing or developing requirements for artificial intelligence-enabled analysis, machine learning, data fusion, automation, advanced analytics, or intelligence collaboration tools.
