POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Manufacturing Reliability Engineer, you’ll help keep our manufacturing operation performing at its best by improving the reliability, performance, and life cycle of critical plant equipment and systems. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into equipment challenges, using data to find better solutions, and building reliability capability across the plant. You’ll work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and other teams to turn insights into sustainable improvements.

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

- Drive equipment reliability improvements using data analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), condition monitoring, and other reliability tools.
- Develop, implement, and improve preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Partner across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and WK Kellogg Integrated Work Systems teams to improve asset performance and solve complex equipment challenges.
- Support technical cost-savings initiatives, capital planning, and the execution of minor capital projects.
- Lead and support daily management systems, defect elimination, equipment centerline activities, and other reliability improvement efforts.
- Support WK Kellogg Integrated Work Systems across the site, with a strong focus on Reliability Maintenance Center of Excellence initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support during equipment failures and other critical operational needs.
- Train and coach mechanics and operators to strengthen technical capability, equipment ownership, and troubleshooting skills.
- Develop troubleshooting guides, repair procedures, and SOP documentation to capture knowledge and improve consistency.
- Ensure reliability activities align with safety, food safety, regulatory, and WK Kellogg standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with Lean, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), failure analysis, and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and data-analysis skills.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering principles and maintenance strategies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence others.

Preferred :

- Experience with SAP-PM.
- Experience working within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting reliability or maintenance programs within a union manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and reliability tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- This role is based within a 24/7 union manufacturing facility and requires a regular presence on the production floor.
- You’ll work closely with plant teams as well as suppliers, OEM vendors, contractors, and corporate partners.
- Occasional travel may be required for training or collaboration with other WK Kellogg locations.

WORK SCHEDULE

- Primarily a regular weekday schedule with flexibility required to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- This role will occasionally require work outside of regular business hours, including nights or weekends, to support equipment issues, projects, and other operational needs.

Salary Range: $99,840 – 124,800
