Summary
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across facilities, equipment, and systems. This role ensures that buildings and operations remain safe, functional, and efficient.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and expand skill sets across multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours as needed (on call rotation)
- Maintain preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies
- Interact directly with residents and commercial tenants to assess issues, explain repairs, and ensure satisfaction
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in residential or commercial properties preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a tenant-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Valid drivers license
