St. Luke's Health System currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Innovative Call Endoscopy Technician to join our Meridian/Nampa Endoscopy Innovative Call (IC) Team.
The IC Endoscopy Tech will be covering both Meridian and Nampa Endoscopy Campuses and will be working opposite another IC Endoscopy Tech, in a two-week Rotation:
- Endo tech #1 will be “On Call” for the first week (7 days): On-call shifts are 1700-0700 (14 hours) Monday through Friday. Saturday from 0700 until Monday morning at 0700 for a total of 48 hours on the weekend.
- IC Techs rotate their schedules each year, so you don’t cover the same holidays, two years in a row.
What You Can Expect: The Innovative Call Endoscopy Technician is responsible for identifying and securing instrumentation and equipment needed for endoscopy procedures as well as assisting with that procedure.
- Assesses and anticipates the needs for a specific case to include (but not limited to) setting up carts prior to procedure, opening procedure room, maintaining integrity of supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
- Assists in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
- Performs care and maintenance of Automated Endoscope Re-processors and GI Endoscopes, including high-level disinfection. Keep service and repair logs.
- Inventory and order Endoscopy equipment and other medical supplies.
- Performs inventory and re-stock supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing and procedure rooms.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 6 months relevant experience
- Licenses/Certifications: GI Technical Specialist (GTS) through the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
