What you will be doing
The District Loss Prevention (LP) Manager plays a key role in protecting company assets, reducing shrink, and supporting the safety and security of our associates, customers, and stores across an assigned group of locations. This position partners closely with Store Directors, District Managers, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Asset Protection leadership to mitigate risk, conduct investigations, and strengthen loss prevention programs.
The District LP Manager conducts investigations, develops shrink reduction strategies, supports compliance efforts, and coaches operational leaders on best practices that protect associates, customers, inventory, and company assets. This role spends significant time in stores supporting leaders, identifying operational risks, and promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and asset protection.
This position reports to the Director of Asset Protection.
This position is based in the San Diego area and reports to the Fullerton Store Support Center. Occasional travel to the Fullerton Store Support Center will be required.
Main Responsibilities
Investigations & Risk Mitigation
- Conduct investigations involving internal and external theft, fraud, workplace violence, harassment, policy violations, and other incidents impacting company assets, associates, customers, and store operations.
- Gather facts, interview witnesses and involved parties, document findings, and prepare timely, thorough investigative reports and case documentation.
- Partner with Human Resources, Labor Relations, Legal, and Operations leadership to support appropriate resolution and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and assist with prosecution efforts when appropriate.
Shrink Reduction & Asset Protection Strategy
- Develop and execute shrink reduction plans for assigned districts by identifying root causes and implementing targeted solutions.
- Analyze operational, inventory, and incident data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor the effectiveness of AP programs and recommend enhancements to reduce loss and strengthen controls.
- Support initiatives focused on organized retail crime, fraud prevention, and inventory protection.
- Partner with store leadership to identify operational practices that contribute to shrink and support action plans that improve inventory accuracy, merchandising execution, and profitability.
Store Partnership & Operational Support
- Partner closely with District Managers, Store Directors, and store leadership teams to promote a culture of accountability, safety, operational excellence, inventory protection, and asset protection.
- Coach and educate leaders on company policies, investigative processes, operational controls, and loss prevention best practices.
- Identify operational vulnerabilities and recommend practical solutions to improve compliance, execution, and asset protection results.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Compliance & Safety
- Conduct compliance audits and reviews to evaluate adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor store safety and security programs and recommend improvements to reduce risk and protect associates and customers.
- Oversee and coordinate contract security resources within assigned districts.
- Support company initiatives related to workplace safety, security, and incident prevention.

Job Requirements
- 3+ years of Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, organized retail crime, investigations, law enforcement, military, or related experience required.
- Experience conducting investigations and preparing investigative documentation and reports.
- Knowledge of retail operations, inventory controls, shrink drivers, and loss prevention practices preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Asset Protection, Security Management, or related field preferred.
- Wicklander-Zulawski certification or similar investigative training preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and loss prevention technologies and reporting tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel as business needs require.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout assigned districts, including extensive local driving.
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain acceptable driving record.
