Position summary
We are seeking a consultant and project manager to lead electronic health record (EHR) integration projects and support existing interfaces. This role combines HL7 technical knowledge, project delivery, troubleshooting, and technical writing. The successful candidate can work with clinical staff, vendors, and technical teams to resolve issues and keep integration documentation accurate.
Key responsibilities
- Manage EHR interface projects from requirements gathering through testing, launch, and transition to ongoing support.
- Document clinical workflows, interface requirements, data mappings, project decisions, risks, and timelines.
- Analyze HL7 messages and troubleshoot interface failures, missing or incorrect data, routing issues, and workflow problems.
- Investigate support requests, identify root causes, coordinate fixes with vendors and technical teams, and communicate resolution status to stakeholders.
- Create and regularly update interface specifications, troubleshooting guides, support procedures, test plans, and other technical documentation.
- Coordinate testing and validate that interfaces meet documented requirements after changes or fixes.
- Monitor recurring issues and recommend improvements to interface reliability and support processes.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with interface engines and HL7 message types such as ADT, ORM, or ORU.
- Familiarity with FHIR APIs and clinical terminology.
- Experience with incident tracking, change management, and production support.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $25.48 to $63.65 per hour; from: $53,000 to $132,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
