Job Description:

Summary:

The Packer is responsible for inspecting, packing, labeling, and preparing products according to established quality, safety, and production standards. This position supports efficient manufacturing operations by maintaining production output, conducting quality checks, ensuring product specifications are met, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties:

- ack products according to established specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Maintain required production rates and output standards.
- Remove products from production lines, inspect for visual defects, and ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Count and package products into primary and master cartons according to documented instructions.
- Make minor machine adjustments as directed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections and record results as required by documented procedures.
- Utilize quality and testing equipment, including rulers, templates, scales, gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Report quality concerns, equipment issues, or production problems to the appropriate lead, operator, or supervisor.
- Assist with line clearance activities and product changeovers.
- Complete end-of-job returns and required production documentation.
- Move, stack, and organize raw materials and finished goods as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by performing housekeeping duties, including sweeping, trash removal, and cleaning workspaces.
- Cross-train and work on various production lines based on business needs.
- Train and assist new employees using established work instructions and procedures.
- Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), where applicable.
- Work assigned schedules and overtime as required to meet operational demands.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Prior manufacturing, packaging, production, or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to accurately count, record, and verify product quantities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn and operate production equipment and computerized systems as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Compensation Information:

17.20 - 19.50
