Your opportunity

Join Mission Australia's Residential Aged Care team and help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents at Charles Chambers Court in Surry Hills.

As a Cleaner, you'll play an important role in supporting resident wellbeing by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the facility. Your work will contribute directly to resident comfort, infection prevention and the smooth operation of our aged care home.

This permanent full-time position offers a Monday to Friday roster working 6:30am to 2:36 pm , providing consistent daytime hours, work-life balance and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day.

Your key responsibilities will be to

- Help create a clean, comfortable and welcoming home environment for residents.
- Keep resident rooms, shared spaces and facilities clean, tidy and well presented.
- Use cleaning equipment and products safely and follow hygiene and infection control practices.
- Work respectfully around residents, ensuring their comfort and privacy are always maintained.
- Support a safe environment by reporting maintenance issues, hazards and areas for improvement.
- Complete basic cleaning records and documentation as required.
- Work closely with colleagues to deliver a positive experience for residents, visitors and staff

Requirements for success

- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, aged care, healthcare or a similar environment.
- A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- A reliable and positive approach to work, with a commitment to quality outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach to working with others.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks including bending, lifting and standing for extended periods.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
