A Brief Overview
The Senior Director of Operations, Care Network, is an integral part of the Care Network Leadership team reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Operations. Working in cooperation with medical and nursing leadership. The Sr. Director of Operations, Care Network is responsible for site operations at their assigned areas, ensuring effective and efficient coordination between the administrative and clinical functions to optimize performance across the Care Network. The Sr. Director works with various departments throughout the enterprise in planning, marketing and developing new sites, services and programs. This position is accountable for the operational and financial performance and growth of the Network, meeting enterprise-wide goals relevant to the Care Network, improving community health, strengthening provider and staff engagement and improving patient and family experience. They are a champion of diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the Care Network and encourage staff development and teamwork. This role must be able to champion change and demonstrate productive and collaborative relationships throughout the Primary Care Network and with senior leadership within CHOP.

The role supervises Managers and Directors, working in tandem with the Regional Medical Directors, Nursing Directors and Managers, and other leaders within the Care Network and across the system to ensure the highest level of care and standards are met.

This leader should be able to connect with Staff, Lead with Intention and Embrace Decision Making. The role requires holistic strategic thinking, innovative and creative problem solving, and influencing abilities to advance the Care Network in growth, consumerism, talent, research and innovation and value-based care.

What you will do

- Operational Oversight
- Oversee the operational performance and achievement of annual goals for operations, finance, quality and safety, patient satisfaction and employee engagement of the assigned sites across the Care Network
- Collaborate with medical and nursing leadership to establish and maintain clinical and operational standards; analyze policies, systems, procedures and space utilization and recommend innovative changes for improvement. Working with RMD and ACMO, explore opportunities to develop and implement initiatives, process improvement initiatives and new care delivery models that bring increased value and quality of care to patients and families across the Care Network.
- Works collaboratively with leaders in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Care Management and other organizational colleagues to ensure the provision of the highest level of care and services for patients.
- Provides leadership by partnering with other Senior Leaders in Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, MSO etc. to optimize alignment and opportunities for success.
- Work with Ambulatory Leadership to develop departmental standards policies, guidelines and protocols that are implemented at site/department level.
- Ensures regulatory and financial/insurance compliance relevant to the sites within their scope.
- Represents the Care Network as the "face of the network" internally and externally, ensuing communication, alignment and productive collaborative relationships exist between sites/departments and the CHOP system as well as external relationships.
- Financial Responsibility
- Oversees the annual budget preparation and monitor fiscal performance of each area monthly, ensuring efficient and effective operations throughout the Care Network.
- Accountable for the identification and implementation of financial stewardship initiatives across the Network.
- Reviews P&Ls, variance analysis, LDRs ensuring team members are effectively utilizing staff, space and supplies are are working within budgetary constraints.
- Works effectively as a team member with others to develop and implement new services and programs that address needs that are clinically and financially sound
- Works with team members to develop and implement changes that will enhance performance of operations
- Reviews data, performance and dashboards, making data driven decisions and recommendations to improve site operations and overall Network performance.
- Human Resources
- Works collaboratively with site leadership to recruit, retain and develop top talent. Ongoingly ensures the development of future leaders.
- Regularly reviews and develops action plans to address employee and physician engagement surveys ensuring people are valued and retains a competitive market advantage.
- Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding and successful engagement of site leadership. Accountable for the leadership development of their team and annually developing succession plans
- Participates in the recruitment, onboarding and fostering of productive working relationships with clinical providers
- Leadership
- As part of the Care Network Leadership team actively participates in Network meetings and other meetings as appropriate or necessary for the efficient operations of Care Network sites.
- Work with colleagues across the Care Network and enterprise to ensure alignment with enterprise goals and initiatives.
- Participates in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives across the Care Network.
- Participate on committees and other workgroups as requested.

Education Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Health Care Administration or similar field of study Required
- Master's Degree Business Administration, Health Care Administration or similar field of study Preferred

Experience Qualifications

- At least eight (8) years of management experience in a healthcare setting Required

SALARY RANGE:

$100,000.00 - $375,000.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
