Intuit internships are 12 weeks throughout the summer. We have fixed start and end dates that are designed to work with various universities’ academic calendars.
- Cohort 1: Monday, May 17 - Friday, August 6, 2027 (12 weeks)
- Cohort 2: Monday, June 14 - Friday September 3, 2027 (12 weeks)

Join Intuit's CTREC organization — Cybersecurity, Trust & Safety, Risk, and Enterprise Systems Compliance — where we monitor audit findings and management action plans across the tech ecosystem to keep the platforms powering prosperity for millions of customers secure and trustworthy. As a Technical Compliance Manager Intern , you'll help us understand, quantify, and mitigate risk against standards like SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and PCI, while maturing our processes with tools like ServiceNow and Claude. You'll build the rare skill of going deep on a technical control one moment and zooming out to the bigger risk picture the next.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do :
- Contribute to the risk analysis and assessment process by using data and technology
- Assist in maintaining and operationalizing security policies, standards, and controls to support GRC initiatives.
- Support the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team by analyzing and monitoring internal security controls to information security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO27001, ISO42001,, PCI DSS, etc.)
- Provide oversight to vari ous management action plan programs by development of methods for scaling tooling, communication, and program management activities to streamline day to day operations
- Escalate any at risk programs to GRC leadership with clearly documented executive one pagers.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program (associate’s, bachelor's, master's, MBA, PhD, or the equivalent) with an expected graduation date after the internship ends
- Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity about how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the duration of the internship
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment at the Intuit San Diego office (Relocation stipend will be provided)
- Awareness of core cybersecurity concepts and common vulnerabilities.
- Desire to learn and grow within a technical environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the core responsibilities of a GRC function
Experience with basics of IT auditing, documentation, security compliance frameworks, and security governance concepts
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with privacy and international cybersecurity laws or regulations (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Any of the following certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGRC

The expected base pay range for this position is:
San Diego $39 - $70
