We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively provide mechanical and piping engineering delivery and site support for the K2 Project, assisting with implementation of approved mechanical and piping designs to support safe construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
Clough is delivering the design and construction of the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth. K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasing application of renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
- Prepare mechanical and piping engineering deliverables, including calculations, equipment and line data sheets, specifications and layouts, under direction of senior and principal engineers.
- Support construction and commissioning activities by responding to mechanical and piping RFIs, site technical queries and non‑conformances.
- Assist with coordination of mechanical and piping interfaces with process, electrical, I&C and civil/structural disciplines.
- Review vendor, fabricator and subcontractor documentation for compliance with approved mechanical and piping designs as directed.
- Support Safety in Design activities by identifying mechanical and piping hazards and assisting with implementation of agreed design risk controls.
- Assist with mechanical and piping engineering change processes, including preparation of technical assessments and updates to design documentation.
- Support inspections, pressure testing, flushing, mechanical completion and commissioning activities as required.
- Contribute to preparation of as‑built documentation and mechanical/piping engineering handover records.
What you will bring to the team:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical and piping engineering roles on major EPC, infrastructure or power generation projects
- Engineers Australia Acreditation (if applicable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and report effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
