Job Description:
Job Summary
To assist with the day to day running of the operations department
Liaise between different internal departments and external vendors. Monitor and control bookings, movements, and special instructions. Be main point of contact for drivers, monitor POB, POD.
Responsibilities:
- Export operations –creating SLI, preparing labels and export pack for driver
- Imports – overseeing daily imports deliveries
- Driver scheduling – overseeing the routing of jobs for drivers as needed
- Dispatch - Scanning freight, accounting for freight Providing coverage for dispatch staff when they are on leave
- Singapore console counts – physical freight matches the system
- Problem solving – assisting supervisor with any discrepancies
- Credo – Preparing and approving
- Overseeing facility as required
- Domestic bookings as required
- Dealing with different departments on all facets of the business
- Dealing with sub-contractors and vendors
- Track and trace on shipments as required
- Airline bookings and other arrangements
- In conjunction with you manager, ensuring the company vans are serviced on a regular basis and are within a safe and working order.
- To ensure all daily counts are accurate
- Ensure paperwork create dis within company and airline standards
- Co-operate with all Marken in a professional manner
- Ensure that a high standard of general housekeeping is maintained on a ‘clean as you go basis

- To undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of the Line Manager
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 year experience in the life science and clinical trial industry
- Experience with import and export
- Understanding of Sydney & surrounding areas
- Understanding of running a fleet
- Knowledge of time and temperature requirements for clinical trials
- Strong understanding of the life science industry (desirable)
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to multi task
- Be able to work through problems as they arise and find quick functioning solutions (desirable)
- Is able to work in a fast paced environment (desirable)
- Year 12 education completion
