DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Analyst, Benefits, located in Manila, Philippines.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview
The Analyst, Benefits is responsible for supporting the delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs across designated markets within the region. This role serves as a key resource for benefits operations, providing employee support, managing vendor partnerships, maintaining program documentation, and ensuring accurate execution of benefit processes and regulatory requirements.
The role works closely with HR colleagues, external vendors, and regional stakeholders to ensure effective, compliant, and employee-centric benefits delivery. The role aligns with an experienced analyst-level individual contributor profile, supporting benefits and total rewards programs through operational excellence, employee guidance, vendor management, communications, and program administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Tier 2.0 and Tier 1.5 benefits case inquiries and escalations for assigned markets, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Support employee leave and time-off programs, including policy interpretation, leave administration, and employee guidance.
- Partner with external vendors, including Aon and Alight, to ensure effective service delivery, issue resolution, and operational performance.
- Support annual benefits enrollment and renewal activities, including testing, communications, employee support, and implementation activities.
- Support benefit program implementations, enhancements, and change initiatives, including transition planning and stakeholder coordination.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding benefits policies, program eligibility, exceptions, and plan provisions.
- Maintain benefits plan documentation, process documentation, and knowledge-management resources to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and deliver benefit communications, educational materials, and employee awareness campaigns.
- Support operational processes utilizing applicable HR systems and tools, including OTP, EIB, and related data management activities.
- Administer government-mandated and social benefits programs, insurance programs, pension plans, fleet-related benefits (where applicable), and flexible work arrangement programs for designated markets.
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Postgraduate coursework or certification in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Compensation & Benefits, or Total Rewards.
Experience and Skills
Required
- 1-3 years of experience in Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Shared Services, or a related Human Resources function.
- Experience administering employee benefit programs, leave management, or HR service delivery processes.
- Strong customer service orientation with experience handling employee inquiries and case management.
- Experience working with external vendors, third-party administrators, or benefits providers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
Preferred
- Experience supporting regional or multi-country benefit programs.
- Knowledge of benefits administration platforms and HR technologies.
- Familiarity with annual enrollment, benefit implementation, and change-management activities.
- Knowledge of government-mandated benefits and regulatory requirements in Asia Pacific markets.
- Experience developing employee communications and training materials.
- Exposure to pension, insurance, wellbeing, or flexible work programs.
- Understanding of Total Rewards practices, including benefits governance and vendor management. The role supports benefits administration, employee education, communications, documentation, and vendor coordination activities within Total Rewards programs.

- Travel: Up to 10% domestic or international travel, as business needs require.
- Certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or equivalent certifications preferred.
