Job Description:
Baker Tilly is seeking a Valuation Associate to join our growing Valuation practice. Our Valuation professionals combine specialized technical expertise with practical, real-world experience to deliver thoughtful, business-focused valuation solutions.
As a Valuation Associate, you will support a variety of valuation engagements involving closely held businesses, equity interests, assets, liabilities, and complex financial instruments. You will conduct financial statement and valuation analyses, perform industry and economic research, develop valuation models, and contribute to the preparation of client-ready valuation reports.
This position is ideal for an analytical, intellectually curious professional who enjoys solving complex financial problems and is interested in building a career in business valuation.
What you will do:
- Support the development of valuation analyses and reports for financial reporting, tax compliance, transaction, and advisory purposes
- Perform valuations of business enterprises, equity interests, assets, and liabilities
- Develop valuation models using income, market, and asset-based approaches
- Analyze financial statements, historical performance, forecasts, and other financial and operational data
- Conduct industry, economic, market, and company-specific research to support valuation conclusions
- Assist with the valuation of complex financial instruments and ownership interests, including embedded derivatives, contingent consideration, intangible assets, and interests in complex ownership structures
- Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to gather, organize, and evaluate financial and operational information required to complete valuation analyses
- Prepare clear, well-supported valuation documentation and contribute to client-ready reports and deliverables
- Assist with research projects involving valuation methodologies, market data, and technical accounting or financial reporting considerations
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Valuation practice's processes, methodologies, tools, and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field required with degree completed by December 2026
- CFA, ASA, CVA or ABV candidacy a plus
- Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
- Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel in various industries
- Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Be available to travel as needed for client projects

Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
In Frisco, TX: pay rate range is $67,700 to $88,862
In Washington DC: pay rate range is $77,380 to $101,556
In Orange County & Woodland Hills, CA: pay rate range is $74,150 to $97,324
In Chicago, IL: pay rate range is $70,930 to $93,093
