About this role
ROLE OBJECTIVE
Join the development and operation of a new mobile game product. In this role, you will proactively manage project workflows and drive product improvements based on player experience and data analysis. This position is ideal for candidates with strong game sense, a product-oriented mindset, and foundational feature design skills.
I. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of assigned tasks.
- Clarify feature requirements, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and oversee the full lifecycle from ideation to deployment and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Art, Game Design, and QA teams to build, test, and launch new features.
- Evaluate gameplay and the overall player journey to identify friction points, repetitive loops, or drops in player motivation.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics (tutorial completion, progression, retention, engagement, and monetization) to recommend data-driven improvements.
- Plan, configure, and evaluate live operations (LiveOps), including in-game events, rewards, offers, and content updates.
- Design and draft clear documentation for small to medium-sized features: UX flows, quest systems, rewards, progression, events, and basic game balancing.
- Conduct market research on competitor games within the same genre to analyze mechanics and propose applicable innovations.
II. REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in Game Operations, Game Product, Product Management (PO), or Game Design (2+ years preferred).
- Hands-on experience managing at least one major feature, game update, or LiveOps campaign from initial preparation to post-launch evaluation.
- Highly proactive with strong abilities in self-management, planning, task prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Strong "game sense": ability to understand player psychology, analyze gameplay strengths and weaknesses, and propose actionable improvements.
- Solid foundational knowledge of core loops, progression systems, game economies, retention drivers, and monetization strategies.
- Strong technical writing skills to document game logic, user flows, and edge cases clearly.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for verifying configurations, analyzing data, and building simple balancing models.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of ownership to drive tasks to full completion.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working on Idle, RPG, Casual, or Hybrid-Casual mobile games.
- Track record of designing and evaluating the post-launch success of in-game events, quests, progression trees, rewards, or monetization offers.
- Familiarity with Firebase, product analytics tools, or deploying A/B tests.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI and productivity tools for research, documentation, data analysis, or prototyping, with a strong ability to fact-check and validate outputs.
