We are seeking a commercially focused and analytical Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting business performance through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting. Working closely with operational and departmental managers, you will provide insights that drive informed decision-making and help achieve business objectives.

This is an operationally focused finance role working closely with our service delivery teams. Your goal is to support robust commercial outcomes across a variety of service lines and give insights that drive financial performance. You will build consistency and clarity in financial reporting at project, profit centre and divisional levels including forecasting and modelling.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with managers across the business to analyse financial and operational performance.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting and management accounts.
- Lead the preparation and maintenance of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on revenue and cost performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support business leaders with financial modelling, profitability analysis, and decision support.
- Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Investigate variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, providing meaningful commentary.
- Assist with the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Working towards your CA or you have obtained it
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, or similar commercial finance role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-financial managers.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI and reporting systems.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
