- Employment Status: Permanent Full Time
- Location: Flexible base location across Qld. Regular travel to Pinangba sites required.
- Remuneration: $59.43 - $60.70 p/h  + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances + Employee discounts
- Classification: QRN2.1 – QRN2.3 determined by demonstrated clinical hours and experience

We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving care outcomes and supporting culturally safe, high-quality services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As part of Pinangba, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led service delivery arm of BlueCare, you'll join a dedicated Quality and Risk team and support residential aged care services to strengthen clinical, quality and cultural governance. This is a unique opportunity to apply your clinical expertise while driving quality improvement, risk management and better outcomes for residents, families and communities.

About the role

As a Quality Care Advisor, you will provide expert clinical, quality, risk and cultural governance advice to leaders across Pinangba residential aged care services. You'll support the delivery of safe, high-quality and culturally informed care through risk management, continuous improvement, accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.

Working across multiple services, you'll help identify emerging risks, strengthen governance practices and support culturally safe, person-centred care aligned to the Pinangba Cultural Governance Framework and Model of Care.

Key responsibilities

- Provide expert clinical, quality, risk, safety and cultural governance support to leaders to improve care outcomes.
- Support management of key clinical risks including deterioration, wounds, falls, infection prevention, medication safety, dementia and behaviour support.
- Build leader capability in clinical governance, cultural governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal and external clinical experts to support best-practice care and clinical risk management.
- Support the management of serious incidents, complaints and regulatory reporting, including SIRS and NDIS reportable incidents where applicable.
- Assist services with audits, accreditation readiness and compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and the Pinangba Cultural Governance Framework.

With no two days the same, you'll work across multiple services, partnering with teams to support culturally safe care, strengthen quality systems and drive meaningful improvements.

Role requirements

- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements - Essential .
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential .
- Minimum three (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse in residential aged care - Essential .
- Demonstrated experience supporting audits, accreditation and regulatory compliance processes - Essential .
- Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, quality standards, clinical governance and risk management practices - Essential .
- Demonstrated cultural capability and ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents, families, communities and colleagues - Essential .
- Confidence to satisfy relevant probity and compliance requirements aligned to legislation and policy - Essential .
- Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to translate clinical and quality information into practical guidance
