About this role

The Repair and Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing hands-on inspection, repair, maintenance, refurbishment, assembly, and testing of Weatherford Cementation equipment and field tools , ensuring equipment is prepared and fit for its next assignment.

The role covers the complete repair and maintenance process, including receiving equipment, dismantling, cleaning, inspection, dimensional checks, repair, replacement of components, refurbishment, pressure testing, assembly, final inspection, documentation, and preparation for storage or dispatch.

The technician works in accordance with Weatherford's technical manuals, maintenance procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and HSE standards.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, and the safe use of workshop tools, machinery, lifting equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

Where applicable to the Cementation product line, experience with ACP (Annulus Casing Packer) or similar oilfield pressure-containing equipment is highly desirable.

For senior-level positions, the technician may lead and oversee other R&M personnel, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, support root-cause analysis, and ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Weatherford procedures.

Responsibilities

- Performs hands-on inspection, maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and preparation of field tools and equipment used within the Completions & Cementing product line.
- Performs the complete maintenance process, including: Receiving and inspecting equipment
- Disassembly
- Cleaning
- Inspection and dimensional checks
- Identification and replacement of damaged or worn components
- Repair and refurbishment
- Pressure testing
- Visual inspection
- Painting/coating where required
- Reassembly
- Final inspection
- Preparation for storage or dispatch

- Maintains and repairs mechanical equipment using appropriate hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
- Where applicable, performs maintenance, inspection, repair, refurbishment, and pressure testing of ACP / Annulus Casing Packers and associated completion equipment in accordance with Weatherford technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
- Demonstrates an understanding of ACP components, assembly/disassembly requirements, sealing systems, pressure integrity, and common equipment failure modes.
- Performs pressure testing and verifies equipment integrity in accordance with approved procedures and test requirements.
- Inspects used components to determine dimensional requirements and identifies parts requiring repair, replacement, or further inspection.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues and identifies appropriate corrective actions within the individual's level of training and competence.
- Uses technical drawings, manuals, procedures, and work instructions to correctly complete repair and maintenance activities.
- Initiates, updates, and closes AIRTs, PFTs, forms, checklists, and work orders as required.
- Accurately records labor hours against the appropriate Work Order (WO) and maintains accurate maintenance documentation.
- Maintains equipment, facilities, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.
- Safely operates and utilizes lifting equipment, forklifts, cranes, pallet trucks, and other material-handling equipment in accordance with training and certification requirements.
- Receives incoming equipment and shipments and prepares equipment for dispatch, ensuring quantities, documentation, and packaging requirements are accurate.
- Orders parts, supplies, and equipment from approved suppliers in accordance with Weatherford procedures.
- Supports LEAN initiatives and participates in continuous improvement activities within the facility.
- Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the role.

Skills

- Mechanical maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of pressure testing and pressure integrity .
- Ability to inspect components and identify wear, damage, dimensional deviations, and potential failure points.
- Understanding of ACP / Annulus Casing Packer equipment and associated completion tools is highly desirable.
- Awareness of oilfield completion equipment and related maintenance practices.
- Awareness of NDT/NDE and ATEX policies and principles.
- Awareness of requirements for working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, and explosives, as applicable to the role.
- Basic mathematics and measurement skills.

- Good reading, writing, and technical documentation skills.

- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role and working safely in a workshop/field environment.

Qualifications

- 2–4+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry , preferably within a workshop, repair & maintenance, completions, well services, or oilfield equipment environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience with Completions & Cementing equipment is highly desirable .
- Hands-on experience with ACP / Annulus Casing Packers, completion equipment, wellhead-related equipment, packers, or pressure-control equipment is highly desirable .
- Experience with mechanical repair, equipment refurbishment, pressure testing, inspection, and troubleshooting is preferred.
