Candidate Profile

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering projects. Highly skilled Project Engineer - Mechanical to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing technical data across various mechanical commodities, including machining, sheet metal, casting, forging, and mechanical assemblies. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing manufacturing processes and driving value engineering initiatives.

- Proven hands-on experience in diverse manufacturing processes and process design.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging & mechanical assembly.
- Strong expertise in Special Processes , including heat treatment, surface treatment, chemical processing, welding, brazing, and non-destructive testing (NDT), with a solid understanding of process controls, qualification requirements, and compliance standards.
- Understanding of aerospace materials and their properties.
- Ability to identify key cost drivers and propose alternative, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed manufacturing process descriptions required to produce components based on provided engineering drawings.
- Conduct comprehensive Should Cost Analyses to evaluate manufacturing expenses.
- Calculate the necessary raw material dimensions and weights for various parts.
- Identify alternative manufacturing methods and develop innovative value engineering ideas to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (BE/BTech).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering projects

Mandatory skills:

- knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging & mechanical assembly
- Strong expertise in Special Processes, including heat treatment, surface treatment, chemical processing, welding, brazing, and non-destructive testing (NDT), with a solid understanding of process controls, qualification requirements, and compliance standards
- Comprehensive Should Cost Analyses to evaluate manufacturing expenses.

Proficiencies:

- Fluent in English.
- Solid understanding of data analysis and decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of integrated supply chain management practices.
