Chief Chemical Technology Engineer

Your tasks:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Chemical Technology Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and employee growth.

- Set departmental priorities, allocate resources, establish engineering standards and best practices, and ensure efficient execution of projects and operational activities.

- Own and develop key chemical technology processes, including painting, e-coat (KTL), sealing, bonding, coatings, adhesives, and anti-corrosion technologies.

- Provide technological leadership and production support for processes involving paints, coatings, sealants, adhesives, and other chemical products throughout their lifecycle.

- Define and implement manufacturing concepts for new production facilities, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, operational excellence, and future business needs.

- Drive strategic technology transformation initiatives, including the implementation of new KTL solutions, carbon steel manufacturing processes, and advanced anti-corrosion technologies.

- Lead industrialization activities, integrating new vehicle programs into production while supporting capacity expansion and manufacturing readiness for new products.

- Redesign, optimize, and continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, sustainability, and cost performance.

- Analyze production and quality performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

- Optimize production flow, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to maximize operational performance and manufacturing effectiveness.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Purchasing, Project Management, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative technological solutions.

- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and ESG requirements, while supporting supplier selection and qualification for strategic materials and production equipment.

Our expectations:

- Master's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.

- Over 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering focused in chemical technologies in the vehicle industry.

- Strong practical knowledge of paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, anti-corrosion systems, and related manufacturing technologies.

- Experience with production process development, industrialization projects, and implementation of new technologies.

- Experience in automotive, bus, trucks and commercial vehicles, or other advanced manufacturing industries linked to the above sectors for chemical applications.

- Strong understanding of quality standards, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
