About this role

Role Title: Vice President – Senior Fenergo Technical Configurator
Department: Client Lifecycle Management & KYC Technology (KYCX)
Job Function: Platform Configuration & Technical Functional Architecture
Role Type: Individual Contributor (Technical SME / Principal Configurator)
Experience Level: 12–16 Years (Banking & Financial Services)

Position Summary

We are seeking a senior, hands-on Fenergo Technical Configurator at the Vice President level to lead the end-to-end functional platform configuration across our global KYCX (Know Your Customer / Client Experience) estate.

This is a senior Individual Contributor role. You will be responsible for the technical configuration design and hands-on implementation of client journeys, policy rule sets, dynamic document models, risk rating logic, and security entitlements within Fenergo CLM. The position requires a deep technical understanding of Fenergo's declarative framework, data model, and workflow engine to translate complex institutional compliance requirements into scalable, maintainable platform configurations without writing custom application code.

Core Accountabilities

1. Journey & Workflow Engine Configuration

- Own the technical design, configuration, and end-to-end testing of complex client lifecycle journeys across Corporate, Institutional, and Commercial Banking lines of business.

- Build and maintain workflows for Net-New Onboarding, Periodic KYC Refreshes, Event-Driven/Triggered Reviews, Material Change Ingestion, and Offboarding.

- Configure dynamic stage-gates, milestone triggers, complex decision splits, task orchestration, operational handoffs, and parallel processing branches.

- Implement SLA trackers, escalation paths, and automated fallback/exception handling mechanisms across jurisdictional booking locations.

2. Policy, Risk & Regulatory Rules Setup

- Configure and maintain the Fenergo Policy Manager, Regulatory Rule Engine, and Entity Requirement Matrices across major regimes (e.g., FinCEN CDD, FATCA/CRS, EU 5MLD/6MLD, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, MAS, HKMA, FCA).

- Set up dynamic Document Requirement Matrices, conditional document triggers, and Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) calculation rules based on entity types, ownership thresholds, and control structures.

- Configure risk scoring criteria, automated SDD/CDD/EDD triggers, and integration points for screening triggers (Sanctions, PEPs, Adverse Media).

3. Entitlements, Security & Data Visibility

- Design and configure granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), functional permission sets, user profiles, and multi-tier approval hierarchies.

- Configure strict data segregation and entitlement rules to enforce cross-border data privacy constraints and regional booking center restrictions.

- Implement Maker-Checker (Four-Eyes principle) controls, operational segregation of duties (SoD), and compliance sign-off stage-gates.

4. Data Modeling, UI Forms & Business Rules

- Configure entity data models, complex multi-tier parent-subsidiary hierarchies, fund structures, authorized signers, and related parties in Fenergo.

- Build dynamic, conditional UI forms, custom data groups, dropdown hierarchies, and field-level validation rules.

- Configure data validation rules, format masking, and conditional visibility logic across various stages of the client journey.

5. Technical Governance, Packaging & Releases

- Manage configuration asset version control, configuration deltas, XML/JSON deployment packages, and migration scripts across Dev, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.

- Perform pre-release impact assessments for Fenergo core upgrades, service packs, and policy changes to ensure backward compatibility and prevent configuration regressions.

- Troubleshoot advanced configuration defects, data structure inconsistencies, and journey bottlenecks in production and pre-production environments.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Technical Expertise (Mandatory)

- Banking & Domain Background: 12 to 15 years of solid experience in Corporate/Investment Banking or Wholesale Financial Services, with deep exposure to KYC/AML, Client Onboarding, Due Diligence (CDD/EDD), and regulatory compliance operations.

- Senior Fenergo Hands-On Experience: Demonstrable, in-depth configuration experience on enterprise Fenergo CLM platforms (v8.x, v9.x, and/or SaaS/Cloud editions).

- Fenergo Journey & Workflow Mastery: Extensive track record building and debugging complex, multi-entity journeys, stage-gates, parallel branches, and exception routing rules.

- Policy Engine & Rules Configuration: Proven hands-on capability in configuring Fenergo Policy Manager, Entity Requirements Matrix, Dynamic Document Engine, and UBO threshold rules.

- Entitlement & Access Model Setup: Direct experience configuring complex user roles, permissions, data-level visibility rules, and cross-jurisdictional entitlement frameworks.

- Entity Data Modeling: Deep expertise in configuring Fenergo data dictionaries, custom attributes, entity relationship mapping, and dynamic UI forms.

- Environment & Package Management: Hands-on experience preparing configuration packages, managing environment-specific variables, and executing zero-downtime configuration deployments across multi-tier environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

- Fenergo Certification: Fenergo Certified Product/Configuration Professional.

- API & Interface Payload Understanding: Strong functional familiarity with REST API / JSON / XML payload structures and data mapping dictionaries for integrating Fenergo with external screening engines (e.g., Fircosoft, World-Check), Core Banking, and Document Repositories.

- External Data Provider Integration: Experience configuring data enrichment lookups and connectors (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, Bureau van Dijk/Orbis, Companies House, Refinitiv, GLEIF).

- Industry Compliance Certifications: ACAMS (CAMS) or ICA Diploma in AML/KYC.

- Agile Delivery: Experience working in JIRA/Confluence within a Scrum/SAFe technical delivery model.

Scope & Non-Requirements

- Individual Contributor Scope: This is a dedicated technical and functional configuration role with no line management or people management responsibilities. The candidate will own technical deliverables, solution designs, and platform setup directly.

- No Software Coding Required: This role does not require software engineering or programming background (such as Java, C#, C++, Python, or web UI development). The focus is entirely on declarative platform configuration, rules engine authoring, data modeling, and workflow orchestration using Fenergo native configuration tools.
