Role Purpose
// The main purpose of the position is to source and develop a grower network for commercial seed hybrids to deliver commercial seed production goals in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
// Deployment Carry out annual grower evaluation to ensure that compliant and high performing growers are retained on the grower register.
// Ensure that surface allocations are in line with the country crop plan and grower assignments are made according to the crop plan.
// Source and recruit new growers, and develop existing growers to enable the long range crop plan and ensure compliance to P2P processes and governement regulations.
// Assignment of appropriate grower accounts in SAP and the full management of the SAP grower accounts processes.
// Ensure full adoption and compliance with the relevant internal company policies and external regulations on seed production.
// Supervise land preparation, planting, crop development, detasseling, male removal, dry-downs, harvest and post harvest activities to ensure quality and yields are achieved.
// Participate in dispute management with growers
// Contribute to production performance review and improvement plan follow ups including area analysis processes.
// Ensure Bayers’ human rights and ESH policies and guidelines are implemented at all growing sites, and ensure cases of noncompliance are addressed in accordance to policy.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
// Undergraduate degree in Agriculture.
// At least 5 years’ experience in seed production management
// Competency seed production operations
// Good conceptual and analytical thinking skills
// Strong problem-solving skills
// Strong planning and organization skills
// Excellent collaboration skills
// Ability to interface all levels of the organization and to influence without authority.
// Driving License is required
// Ability to work remote production sites
